New Magical Item: The Goblet of the Grave
I've uploaded a new magical item to, not surprisingly, the Magical Items page. One of the things I enjoy most about worldbuilding is connecting everything together and then figuring out where things go from there. For the Goblet of the Grave, I gave it a fairly standard power: returning someone from the dead for one day, with the caveat that attempting to extend that time could have catastrophic results. While trying to think of an example of a “catastrophic result,” I inadve

Upcoming Character: Genthon Greywolf
Genthon Greywolf has been a character in my head for awhile. He was originally just an older knight wearing armor with a wolf motif. Just that. No story or anything. As I started sketching him out I decided to keep the wolf-themed armor but also make him a werewolf. Then, instead of just being a regular knight why not have him be a paladin? He fell from grace and was cursed with some good ole' fashioned lycanthropy. I don't know all the particulars yet but it's a good start f

Various WIPs and such
"I'll have all the time in the world to work on this...when I'm dead!" -A person with a passion project. I have a lot different things in progress, and way more lined up after that. It's all on the way...eventually. Here's some of what I'm working on: Upcoming Characters in various stages of progress Sketches of magical items. These are all in the 3rd stage of sketching. I probably will do one more refinement sketch before finalizing the drawing for each. So, you see, lots of

New Character Added: Solomon Boulderfist
A new character has been added to the People page. I'm currently playing this character in a DnD 5e campaign. At least I was, the game seems to be dying a slow death and 5e isn't all that good frankly. It was cool at first but this character is an unarmed monk and at his current level he gets like 5 attacks and can run vertically on walls and stuff. Super over-powered. The DM gave me a Belt of Giant Strength early in the campaign and I successfully grappled every big boss we'

Worldbuilding To-Do List 2026: Updated
Here is all the things I hope to get done this year for Carbunkle!. I am very much a "hope for the best, prepare for the worst" type person, so we'll see how much I can do before 2027 rolls around. Update: I had some "pending" slots to fill in and have now filled them.

Website Updates and Miscellany
I’ve updated a few things since the initial website launch. I dropped the outside sidebars, improved navigation, made the mobile site at least somewhat presentable, and made a handful of other small improvements. None of that really matters to new visitors, of course, but changes were made and I made them. Huzzah! Alas, the site is not responsive. That is a change I decided not to make. A friend mentioned they preferred responsive websites and I thought, “Wait, it’s not respo

Carbunkleworld.com Is Live
After months of tinkering, Carbunkleworld.com is finally live. I built the site with Wix. Honestly, no one’s more surprised about that than me. Every Wix site I’d ever seen looked like it was built at the dawn of the Internet by some high school kid.. Still, here we are. I tried other “no-code” site builders first. Framer, Webflow, a few others, because I can’t actually code. But their idea of “no-code” was so confusing it felt like I’d have been better off just learning to c
