SOCIETIES

Across Carbunkle, countless societies, some virtuous institutions with noble intent and others nefarious cabals plotting in shadow, shape the course of civilization as much as, if not more than, kings and conquerors.

While any number of enclaves, guilds, orders, cults, and other groups abound, no one organization dominates the modern world more than The International Guild of Adventure Seekers, Dungeon Explorers, and Treasure Hunters. It’s motto to “Go forth and save the world…sometimes from itself.”, has earned the guild any number of powerful enemies, but their proven track record of actually saving the world time and again has made the organization the singular, most dominant force in protecting Carbunkle! from threats within, without, and beyond.

Whether benevolent or baneful, organized societies influence everything from the humblest village to the highest halls of power. None, not even a knitting circle of kindly old women, should be joined without a bit of caution.
